OptiPowder Ni7208
High-Strength Nickel Superalloy for Demanding Thermal Environments
OptiPowder Ni7208 is a high-performance nickel-based superalloy specifically engineered for high-temperature stability, up to 1000ºC.
This is a popular choice of alloy where elevated temperature creep strength and low cycle fatigue resistance are needed. Such applications include gas turbine hot section components such as combustors, impellers, turbines, and liners.
The alloy is also sought after for the silencers or suppressors due to its high resistance to low cycle fatigue. Excellent formability and weldability make this alloy attractive for advanced manufacturing.
Continuum produces OptiPowder Ni7208 using our proprietary M2P Gas Atomization System that uses 100% recycled feedstock, reducing the Powder Carbon footprint by 99.7%.
This advanced plasma atomization process transforms reclaimed superalloy feedstock into high-quality, spherical powder in a single step— powered by renewable energy sources to minimize environmental impact. The result is a premium grade, high performance powder optimized for various additive manufacturing (AM) platforms.
Why Choose OptiPowder Ni7208
- Supports a range of AM processes, Including Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (EPBF), Directed Energy Deposition (DED) & Metal Binder Jetting (MBJ)
- Excellent High-Temperature Strength: Maintains structural integrity under sustained thermal exposure
- Superior Weldability: Designed for minimal cracking and high-quality fusion in AM builds
- Creep Resistance: Outstanding stress rupture performance for long-term use at elevated temperatures
- Eco-Conscious Production: Manufactured with green energy and 100% recycled metal inputs
Its combination of printability, high-temperature strength, and post-weld aging capabilities makes OptiPowder Ni7208 a prime candidate for demanding service environments.
