Dr. Sunil Badwe joined the company in October 2022 as VP of Research and Development -Metallurgy. Dr. Badwe leads work focused on innovation, quality and process improvement in metal processing, metal powder manufacturing and product development.
Dr. Badwe has 20+ years of experience in Metallurgy, including metal casting, powder metallurgy, alloy development and additive manufacturing. His previous employers include Belmont Metals, 6K, Divergent 3D and Höganäs.
Dr. Badwe is a LEAN manufacturing professional, a dedicated researcher with a deliverable plan of experiments, and a Six Sigma Green Belt. He has a BS in Metallurgy and an MS in Process Metallurgy, both from the University of Pune in India, a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Nevada and has also completed executive education courses at MIT and Stanford University. Dr. Badwe is also credited with multiple publications and patents.
